- For every third donation (regardless of donation type), you can choose a gift to take home!
- Once you’ve redeemed a gift, your Gift status resets again and you can give, receive, repeat!

You asked. We listened. And we’re bringing you a gift that lets you do more with your donations.
You can now choose a new carbon offset option as your gift with every three donations. This means, instead of receiving physical merch, we’ll put your gift towards offsetting the carbon footprint that occurs as part of processing and transporting three donations.

Carbon offset FAQs
- How do I choose the carbon offset option as a gift?
Like you do with our current gifts, you can choose the carbon offset option with every three donations. This means, instead of receiving a physical gift, we’ll put your reward towards offsetting the carbon footprint that occurs as part of processing and transporting three donations.
- What is carbon offsetting?
Carbon offsetting is a way for Lifeblood to compensate for carbon emissions that we can’t eliminate. We do this by investing in projects that reduce or remove emissions.
- Which carbon offset programs will my gift support?
Your contribution will be used to purchase carbon credits from projects that fit within the Climate Active program guidelines.
- What is Climate Active?
Climate Active is an Australian government-backed program that helps Australian businesses drive voluntary climate action. It’s also a certification awarded to businesses that have achieved a state of carbon neutrality.
We work with them to invest in projects across Australia and around the world that reduce or remove carbon from the atmosphere to offset the emissions that we can’t eliminate. Many of these projects also have additional environmental and social benefits. Visit their website here for more information.
- Is Lifeblood certified carbon neutral?
Yes! Lifeblood has met the requirements of the Climate Active Carbon Neutral Standard of Service and has been certified as carbon neutral for donation management services in 2024-25.
- What does carbon neutral mean?
Carbon neutral means taking action to reduce and remove as much carbon from the atmosphere as we put into it.
- How did Lifeblood become carbon neutral?
We’re continuing to reduce emissions in our operations where possible, such as through energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, and investing in projects that reduce or remove emissions from the atmosphere. - When did Lifeblood Gifts first launch?
Lifeblood Gifts first launched in 2023 to improve how we recognise our donors. About 92,000 donors signed up for the trial program and shared their feedback with us, which helped us create our new Lifeblood Gifts.
- What is the new Lifeblood Gifts?
After our trial program last year, we took on the feedback from our donors so we could plan the future of our loyalty and recognition program. We wanted to make it bigger and better for you, which is why we’ve launched our 2024 program.
- How do I know if I’m opted in?
Simply click here to log in and check that your Lifeblood Gifts opt in is set to Yes. If you’re having any issues with signing up, contact us and we’ll help you out.
- What were some of the feedback from the trial program?
We received lots of wonderful feedback from many of you who participated and the key issues that were raised included:
Wait times: Donors had to wait too long for their rewards to be delivered to them. It’s why we’ve introduced a gift redemption system in donor centres.
Sustainability: Our donors give life and are kind to Mother Nature – what a combination! That’s why our items this year have an even greater focus on sustainability. We’ve also selected items that help reduce the use of single-use plastics.
- It’s too hard to choose from the amazing set of gifts! What are my options?
We hear you! If you can’t decide at the moment, you can always skip choosing a gift at your eligible donation and get it the next time you donate. We also love dropping a few surprises, so keep an eye out for limited-edition items too!
