Volunteers are a vital part of blood donation. They make every donor feel welcome. They keep things running smoothly. And they keep the donors well fed.
Whether you’re a regular donor or you’ve never given blood before, you can probably apply to volunteer.
You just need to be able to commit to a regular shift.
You just have to be older than 16 and undertake a National Police Check which we’ll organise for you.
You may not be able to give if you’ve been involved in certain crimes.
We receive a lot of applications. Unfortunately, we don’t have space for everyone, and we can’t provide work experience or student placements.
You'll be a donor's best friend.
You'll chat, make milkshakes, and be your usual all-round amazing self.
We can work together to figure out a regular, ongoing shift that suits you and your schedule.
We’re the first partner in the new Duke of Edinburgh ‘Duke4Volunteering’ program. And we’re pretty chuffed about it. Together, we’re helping more young Australians make a big difference through volunteering.
