How to apply
Volunteers are a vital part of blood donation. They make every donor feel welcome. They keep things running smoothly. And they keep the donors well fed.

Start learning the ropes
Who can volunteer?
You, hopefully
Whether you’re a regular donor or you’ve never given blood before, you can probably apply to volunteer.
You just need to be able to commit to a regular shift.
Just a couple of things
You just have to be older than 16 and undertake a National Police Check which we’ll organise for you.
You may not be able to give if you’ve been involved in certain crimes.
Not everyone can volunteer
We receive a lot of applications. Unfortunately, we don’t have space for everyone, and we can’t provide work experience or student placements.
What does volunteering at Lifeblood look like?
You'll be a donor's best friend.
You'll chat, make milkshakes, and be your usual all-round amazing self.
We can work together to figure out a regular, ongoing shift that suits you and your schedule.
