Frequently asked questions

Check out our most frequently asked questions for suppliers:

Does it take long to register?

Activation of a supplier’s registration in eSource, Lifeblood’s tender management and evaluation online portal, will take approximately one day.

Registration involves entering your details into the online eSource portal and agreeing to a Confidentiality Agreement. Access to the tender documentation will be allowed once the tender has been released to all participants.

Can Lifeblood accept late submissions?

No, we can’t. We need to ensure a transparent and equitable process, so we generally don’t accept late tenders. If there’s a good reason you were unable to meet the deadline and can clearly document it, you may be offered an exception by the National Procurement Manager.

How do I submit a tender?

Please review the terms and conditions set out in the tender documents. If you need more information about submitting a tender, the online eSource portal contains a useful help function. If you require further assistance, please email StrategicProcurement@redcrossblood.org.au.

How do you evaluate a tender?

The procurement process (including the evaluation criteria) is in the tender documents. We always evaluate in a comprehensive, equitable, auditable and transparent manner.

How will I know if I’ve been shortlisted?

You’ll be notified by the relevant party. The tender documents will list important dates.

Can I find out why I was unsuccessful in a tender?

Yes, you can request feedback on your submission, but only after the contract is executed.
