- Does it take long to register?
It’ll take about a day. You just need to register your details in SmartSource and agree to the Confidentiality Agreement, then you’ll be emailed a username and password within 24 hours. Then you’ll be able to access documentation.
- Can Lifeblood accept late submissions?
No, we can’t. We need to ensure a transparent and equitable process, so we generally don’t accept late tenders. If there’s a good reason you were unable to meet the deadline and can clearly document it, you may be offered an exception by the National Procurement Manager.
- How do I submit a tender?

- How do you evaluate a tender?
The procurement process (including the evaluation criteria) is in the tender documents. We always evaluate in a comprehensive, equitable, auditable and transparent manner.
- How will I know if I’ve been shortlisted?
You’ll be notified by the relevant party. The tender documents will list important dates.
- Can I find out why I was unsuccessful in a tender?
Yes, you can request feedback on your submission, but only after the contract is executed.
