TGA approval to change ‘mad cow’ blood donation rule

TGA approval to change ‘mad cow’ blood donation rule

People who lived in the UK for six months or more between 1980 and 1996 will be able to give blood in Australia soon.

We’re delighted to have received a decision from the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), which will enable people who lived in the United Kingdom between 1980 and 1996 to donate blood.

We look forward to having more to share once planning for implementation is complete, including a date for when we expect to welcome new donors.
