Yes, if the acupuncture was performed by either an acupuncturist or health practitioner who is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), you can donate plasma only in the first 24 hours after treatment. This also applies for other acupuncture carried out using sterile, single-use, disposable needles. After 24 hours, there are no restrictions. If sterile, disposable equipment wasn’t used (or you’re not sure) you can donate 4 months after the last acupuncture procedure.
