Can people who have been in close contact with individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 donate blood?

No. We have a 14-day donation postponement for anyone who has been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19. Close contact is defined by public health authorities and is anyone who has been advised to quarantine for 7-14 days following exposure to COVID-19. Donating can resume once a close contact has completed quarantine and testing requirements and 14 days have passed.
