BloodSafe eLearning Australia course changes
The Clinical Transfusion Practice course has been redesigned into five profession-specific courses. The current course and corresponding refreshers will remain available until 30 October 2026. This transition period will allow users currently undertaking the course(s) to complete their assessment and provide organisations with time to prepare for the transition to the new profession-specific learning pathways.
Position Statement
In May 2026, the Australian and New Zealand Society of Blood Transfusion (ANZSBT) released the Position Statement on Prevention of Transfusion-Transmitted Cytomegalovirus (TT-CMV).
Public Consultation
An initial draft of the NSQHS Standards (third edition) is out now for public consultation. The consultation is open until Friday 25 September 2026.
