Cholesterol - I take medication for cholesterol reduction. Can I donate?

If you take cholesterol-lowering medication prescribed to prevent coronary artery disease, it doesn’t affect your eligibility to donate.

However, if you have existing coronary artery disease, you won’t be able to donate blood for safety reasons.
