Whether you’re a blood recipient, a close friend or a family member, you’ve seen the power of blood in a moment of need. Starting a Lifeblood Team is a way to share its impact and help others who may be in similar situations. You don’t need to be a blood donor to start a team but you can be an advocate for why it matters.
“Team Adem was created by Adem Crosby after he was diagnosed with leukaemia at 17. Despite his illness, Adem was determined to raise awareness about the life-saving power of blood donation. Being part of the team has shown us how something that starts small can have such a large and significant impact. It’s a meaningful way to bring people together and knowing that you are helping save lives is an incredibly rewarding feeling.”
When you start a team, you become a Lifeblood Champion. This doesn’t mean you have to be an expert at all things blood donation – we’re here to help. We’ve created a suite of downloadable resources below – from social tiles with ready-to-go captions, email and Whatsapp copy to editable Instagram stories – it’s all here and it’s all yours.
If you need more support, one of our friendly Relationship Managers will be assigned to your team and be able to answer any questions you have.
It’s okay to need others – for support, encouragement and for life-giving donations. Use this toolkit to help your team spread the word about the urgency and need for donations.
