Do donors need to wear a mask when they donate in Darwin?

As at the 7th March face masks are no longer mandatory for donors. However, we recommend you continue to wear one when donating. This is to ensure the safety of our staff and donors whilst donating. Medical masks such as a surgical face masks provide consistent protection, so we strongly encourage donors to wear surgical face masks rather than cloth masks when donating if possible.

Will masks be provided for NT donors or should they supply their own?

If you donate in the NT and do not have a mask, we can provide you with one. We strongly encourage donors to wear medical masks such as a surgical mask, if possible, as cloth masks can vary more in effectiveness.
