Do donors need to wear a mask when they donate in Darwin?

Yes, face masks are required to donate blood in line with the government restrictions, because of the community transmission risk.

Will masks be provided for NT donors or should they supply their own?

If you wish to wear your own mask when donating you are welcome to do so. It can be a surgical mask or a cloth mask. If you prefer to wear a surgical face mask when donating we can provide you with one.

Will you refuse entry to a donor centre for someone who refuses to wear a mask?

Yes, in an area where masks are mandated by government, if they do not have a medical exemption. The requirement to wear masks is introduced for the safety of both our donors and our staff and is currently required by the government.
