Amanda Harris

Senior Account Director –
Medical Education

Back when Amanda was still a New Yorker, she had the choice between moving to Colorado to pursue a marketing role with Home Box Office – or pursue an offer to join a fledgling Publicis medical education company on a short-term contract. She seems to have a knack for assessing the potential in opportunities and 5 years later was leading the medical meetings division of a boutique agency focusing on HIV.

From there she tried her hand at independent consultancy but a couple of years later when she was offered the chance to join an Omnicom company and form a new team to develop accredited programs (Avonex, Eloxatin, Femara, Gleevec and Xyrem) and she took it.

But she can also see the potential in people too and when a year later she met her future Aussie husband she packed her bags for Australia. Amanda has been with Lifeblood for 2 years and leads the team in Sydney.

Lesley Hoye

Account Director

After avoiding work for as long as possible, Lesley began her career in mainstream publishing before launching herself into the wonderful world of medical education. Working primarily in an editorial and production capacity, Lesley decided that the UK and its weather had given her enough grief, so she upped and moved herself and her family to Australia in 2001.

Lesley has worked at a number of agencies in Sydney, initially as an Editorial Manager responsible for a team of editors and writers, and most recently as an Account Director, helping to successfully establish a new medical education agency. She’s particularly proud of an accredited GP education program she helped develop that was shortlisted for a 2008 PRIME Award. Over the past 15 years, Lesley has worked in numerous therapy areas that include cardiovascular, endocrinology, ophthalmology, oncology and mental health, and she has a broad experience in producing print and online materials for both GPs and specialists.

Secret indulgence?

What should you be doing?

Writing in my attic overlooking the ocean, swathed in chiffon, with a packet of Sobranie Black Russians and a bottle of French bubbles for inspiration.

Sarah Willoughby

Account Executive

Sarah’s work history begins with several years as a pharmacy assistant while she was at university. She has also worked at her family-owned homebrew business and assisted in study recruitment for diabetes research.

Exploring outback Australia – Waltzing Matilda style - is another one of Sarah's passions. Her dream is to one day travel through, and see more of the amazing creation that is the land down under, but having recently sold her Kombi for a more practical 'city' car and taking on a 'real' job, this dream may not come true for a little while longer.
